Rob Schmidt
About
Rob Schmidt has been with The Florida Law Group for about six years now and comes with vast experience in personal injury and toxic tort. He has only worked for injured victims and has never worked for the insurance industry. He is a US Air Force veteran, honorably discharged, lived in the greater Heidelberg, Germany area for many years, speaks passable German, and he grew up as a military brat. Rob ended up in Tampa when he was stationed at MacDill AFB in 1985. After he finished his military service, he began working for a plaintiffs’ asbestos law firm that sought recoveries for workers who had been occupationally exposed to asbestos and had subsequently developed lung diseases (pneumoconiosis) as a result.
After 13 years in the asbestos litigation, he made the change to personal injury and has been working in this capacity since 2003. He is The Florida Law Group’s senior case manager. Rob enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, sailing on cruise ships in the Caribbean, visiting with family in Virginia, disc golfing on weekends, working on cars, growing orchids, pineapples, and chili peppers, walking and hiking, camping, cooking, grilling, and smoking proteins of all shapes and sizes, playing with his dogs, listening to music, and taking money from the insurance industry and giving it to crash and fall victims of the firm.
